Cartels Reject “Dergatory” Comparison To Energy Companies

MEXICO – Mexican drug lords have unanimously voiced their outrage at comparisons made between cartels and British Energy supplies.

After what has been called collusion among the “Big Six” energy firms to again raise prices, the boss of a smaller competitor, Dale Vince, accused the energy firms of acting “like cartels”.

Already, drug lords have called on Mr Vince to retract his comments before they did permanent damage to the reputation of genuine cartels everywhere.

‘We’re nothing like them’

Vicente Carrillo Fuentes – leader of the Juárez Cartel whose activities include trafficking, people smuggling and money laundering – said his people were nowhere near as bad as what he had recent about British energy suppliers.

Fuentes described the words of Mr Vince an unfair slam against those in the business of moving high volumes of drugs and artillery across the Mexican border.

“These words…these words, they cut almost as deep as my machete,” claimed Fuentes before adding that the “unwarranted” allegations made him angrier than an undercover cop.

“I can deal with being called brutal or bloodthirsty, but putting us in the same class as these putos that would arbitrarily raise the prices of a basic need to make more profit is a kick to the cajones.”

Pointing out one of many differences between his organisation and British Gas, Fuentes said that when his organisation extorted money at least they had the decency to look their victims in the face.

Unfair comparison

In addition to Fuentes’ comments, a second cartel leader has penned a strongly worded open letter to Mr Vince in an attempt to ward off the unwanted association with energy suppliers.

In his letter, Arturo Angel Castillio suggested that if the remarks were not taken back in the next 48 hours “the persons responsible would be found, have their heads cut off and left in the middle of the street as a warning to anyone foolish enough to compare us to such heartless organisations.”

Despite this, the news of Mr Vince’s accusations has already done some damage across the U.S.-Mexico border with Juan Carlos Ramirez, an enforcer for the Tijuana Cartel recalling a recent encounter:

“The last family asked me if I was going to raise their energy prices this winter.”

“Can you believe that?!”

“They calmed down when I said I was just here to bang the up a little, but you should have seen the fear in their eyes.”
