Jerry Mouse Releases ‘Controversial’ Memoirs

HOLLYWOOD – In what is being described as a ‘blatant grab for attention’, Jerry Mouse has released his memoirs detailing a dysfunctional relationship with co-star Tom Cat.  A New York Times bestseller, A Journey: Through The Mousetrap exposes the animosity between the former leaders of the Saturday morning cartoon slot.  “It was a mismatch from the beginning” revealed Jerry.  “We tried to keep things civil, smiling a lot, but it was all for the cameras.”

Describing one row, Jerry talks of a time when Tom attempted to use an axe to dismember the mouse, saying: “Our fights usually involved weapons, sure…but this time was different” recalls Jerry.  “There was murder in his eyes,  That’s when I knew the relationship was doomed.”

Jerry also revealed what he believed to be an addiction to painkillers, confessing to an intake of half a vial before an evening meal of cheese brisket to get through the day.  While not as much as many celebrities, he admitted pills ‘had become a prop’.

‘We never even spoke during shows’

He also describes how their on screen silence spilled off screen:  “I’m afraid I stopped taking his calls. Poor Stuart [an adviser] would come in and say: “Tom really wants to speak to you about the next show.” I would say: “I am really busy, Stu.” And he would say: “He is really demanding it.” Then I would say: ‘I’ll call him soon.” And Stu would say: “Do you really mean that Jerry?” And I would say: “No, Stu.”

Fellow star Spike aka Killer, called Jerry reckless for his ‘divisive’ biography.  “There’s a lot of love here for Tom.  They won’t be happy.” A spokesman for Tom Cat said he would not be commenting on the book, but will likely wait until meeting in person for his chance to stab Jerry in the back.
