Asif Zardari Attacked Over Disneyland Trip

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN – President Asif Zardari continues to face furious backlash over his Europe trip which included a visit to Disneyland Paris to meet with Mickey Mouse and other Disney ambassadors. Amid the worst flooding in his country’s history, which have killed up to 1,500 people and affected over three million, the President has been heavily criticised for his response which has seen him travel to the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ at a time of crisis.

Opposition politician Imran Khan said Zardari should be in Pakistan following the disaster. “Quite frankly, staying in Disneyland with his huge entourage, each one with their own with FastPass, it’s quite outrageous!”

He also visited Aquaboulevard, France’s largest water park, where ill-timed photographs of him enjoying water rides were released on the internet.  “I was assured there would be no cameras” explained Zardari who maintains the Disneyland visit was necessary as his 40 percent off vouchers where due to expire ‘imminently’.  This was blasted as a weak excuse and there is growing pressure for him to return to Pakistan and ‘at least bring back those waterproof ponchos’.

Though Zardari admits that it was a joyous day, he dismissed the ‘joy ride’ claims of one flood survivor, highlighting the four hour wait for the Once Upon A Time parade only to find it had been cancelled over a pay dispute.

Zardari also met members of David Cameron’s government Thursday for a five day sightseeing tour of London including a visit to world famous Madame Tussuad’s. Officials hope this will go some way to making up for offense caused by Cameron in recent terrorism comments.

It remains unlikely this gesture will appease those back at home. “Enough is enough, this is taking it too far.” added Khan “There is a time for Disneyland and this is just not it.”
